Chatting about expectations...

Yesterday the Istanbul team, minus 1, met together for an afternoon of getting to know each other, thinking about our vision for the trip and talking about our beliefs.

We’re going to Istanbul for 6 nights in August to meet with a group from Lebanon, modeling and developing good interfaith relations. We’re looking forward to making new friends, sharing our faith and exploring the city. We all want to see a more peaceful world around us, and this trip is an important step in helping to promote peace between different people.

The team is diverse – a collection of young people from all over the West Midlands, and a fab bunch they are. As a team everyone brings different qualities, ideas and gifts, and together we’re creating something very special and significant. I’m so privileged to work with this group who I really believe can change the world. We all can’t wait to get to Turkey – it seems so far away right now, but I’m sure it will fly.

Watch this space for more in the coming months…
