The Feast was founded in Birmingham in 2009, and grew from one worker to the team of 3 youth workers and CEO we have now.

However we have enjoyed growing interest from around the UK, and with the encouragement of Scripture Union and Near Neighbours, discussions began with a group of Christians in Bradford in the Autumn of 2011 around how The Feast might compliment exisiting youth work between young people of different faiths.

A Local Leadership Group (LLG) was formed and has spent the past year planning and fundraising in the hope that they could secure their own local worker.  Well, we are nearly there – today we begin formally advertising a brand new Youth Work Position to work between the West Yorkshire towns of Bradford and Keighley.

This is an extremely exciting new chapter for The Feast, both our Trustees and staff in Birmingham, and the hard working LLG in Bradford and Keighley.   There have been many many meetings, and quite recently a first pilot event (read about here) with Muslim and Christian young people, but now we are moving to a whole new level.

If you are interested in helping this fledgling work get established, a great way you could do this would be by financial support.  Please check out our Donation page, and be sure to indicate your support is for “Bradford & Keighley.”

If you would like to find out more about the work in this area, please write to contact@thefeast.org.uk and we would love to chat with you.  And we really look forward to sharing more soon about who is appointed, and then all the great things that will be achieved as we begin to work with the great young people of the local community.

Great to hear you are ministering in Bradford. My forebears came from there and we’re Listers of the Manningham (lister) mill folk. Had the privilege of visiting Bradford in 2006 to see the Mill.
