“I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way…….”
I couldn’t agree more with the words of one my all-time favourite Witney Houston songs. I’ve spent over 8 years working with young people as a teaching assistant and as a Learning Mentor, along with many years working with youth and children in my local church. I love working with young people and was so thrilled to have the opportunity to join The Feast as their first employee in September 2009.

I spend about a day a week in two secondary schools – Golden Hillock and Moseley School- which are both located in Sparkhill. My role in these schools range from running a small choir to leading two Social Action youth teams where youth are encouraged to make a difference in their school, community and in the wider world.

As a Christian, I believe we were all created with a purpose and one of my passions is to see young people fulfil theirs. By running fun events that help them to think through and discuss relevant issues from their faith’s perspective, we enable Christian and Muslim youth to come together, have fun, get to know each other and form real friendships. We hope that by teaching them to respect each other’s religious views, these young people will lead the way so the Christian and Muslim communities of the future will live more peacefully with each other.
